Pemanfaatan Teknologi Komunikasi Digital Bagi Kinerja Sekretaris

Abstract

The secretary is required to be not only skilled and broad-minded, but more than that she must be able to master technology. The purpose of this study was to determine the digital technology used by secretaries in carrying out their duties and responsibilities in the company. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with structured observation and interview methods. The number of informants is 5 (five) secretaries from different companies or organizations, conducted in 2021. The results of the study reveal that as secretaries, they are asked to be literate and adapt to technology with several applications or software used to accelerate performance. The applications or software used by these secretaries are Canva, some Google applications, Outlook, e-small PDF and systems built by companies such as Talenta.

Sekretaris dituntut untuk tidak hanya terampil dan berwawasan luas, namun lebih dari itu ia harus dapat menguasai teknologi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui teknologi digital yang digunakan oleh para sekretaris dalam melaksanakan tugas dan tanggungjawabnya di perusahaan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode observasi dan wawancara terstruktur. Jumlah informan sebanyak 5 (lima) orang sekretaris dari perusahaan atau organisasi yang berbeda, dilakukan pada 2021. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa sebagai sekretaris mereka diminta untuk melek dan beradaptasi dengan teknologi dengan beberapa aplikasi atau perangkat lunak yang digunakan untuk mempercepat kinerja. Aplikasi atau perangkat lunak yang digunakan para sekretaris ini adalah Canva, Google, Outlook, e-small PDF dan system yang dibangun sendiri oleh perusahaan misalnya Talenta.
